The worth of souls is great in the sight of God

Each of us the reason He shed His blood

Atoning for our sins and griefs 

with nailprints in His hands and feet

He wipes away the tears,  eliminates all fears

Removing pain of past regrets, forgives us of our debts  

Who can comprehend His sacrifice for men?

The love He showed for you and me, the proof is plain to see!  

 

In moments of self-doubt, or feelings of without

Take comfort in rememb'ring what life's all about

It started with the plan of happiness for man 

He overcame the world to show His love

that each of us might know

That someday we may become perfect like God's Holy Son, 

He suffered that like Him we may become

 

Peace will come to those who accept God’s plan

Trials help us grow, help us understand

Adam fell that men might be, 

and men are to have joy you see

For we are free to use our agency to choose:

Eternal life and liberty, or choose captivity

Who can comprehend this gift given to men?

 And though we strive to be like Him, at times we all will sin!

 

And so God sent His Son, Christ the Holy One

He suffered, pleading “Father..., Thy will be done!”

His life He freely gave that men might all be saved...

that each of us might know...
